I'm gonna buy ut2004 off of steam tonight (for a bargain price:p) and proceed immediately to installing the xmp mod :D I used to play u2xmp until there were simply not enough players left to start a good game regularly, but maybe there will be enough players on this mod to start again.
I was really surprised not only to see this site still in the air, but to notice the mod has continued developing. Back in the day (when I had ut2004 only illegally :/) it seemed this mod would never finish. I stopped checking when the ut2004 server banned my key, but this is one of the best surprises ive had in a long time:)

If the mod is alive enough, I'm gonna see if I can get my old u2xmp buddy to get ut2004 as well:)

thanks for the hard work and what is undoubtedly a wonderful mod

Heh, well this was a rather familiar sight.. only 2 servers, both high ping and empty:) so I guess the game is still the same:p No worries though, the ordinary ut servers are still active and ill join an xmp game if I notice one going on.

Try Friday & Saturday Evenings USA time & Monday at 12pm PST(USA) for the Euro Server for best probabilities.

There is a euro server? I only see 2 servers and both have high ping (above 150).
Or am I doing something wrong?

The "funfightclub" server is not always up but does exist & is THE Euro server that I know of. Great group of players there also.

EDIT: I can't say that Funfightclub actually has any "periodic" down time... I just remember that once lately I didn't see it in the list, but heck even the BBF Server re-sets from time to time & might miss a refresh I imagine.... I am not an authority on server subtleties :-)

There's a good number of people still lurking in UTXMP. I for one have cleaned up alot of the maps and submitted a few originals. Come check it out on a Friday Saturday night, around 8pm pst we're there...
