lets play U2XMP as well

Hi, I know there are still quite a few of you who play UTXMP, but I'm still playing the original U2XMP. Well I'm not trying to get you guys to stop playing UTXMP, but with only so few people left, why not play both?

I'm trying to get people to play tomorrow (wednesday) at around 8 pm est, on Chaptor One U2XMP server. Please come and have some fun!

All you need is get some maps (CBP for sure), and connect to the server (dont click Play Online or you might crash).

If you will miss tomorrow (23/7/08), don't worry, we might try again next wednesday, and the next etc.

Right back at the entire U2xmp crowd... Why won't some even try UTXMP? When U2 players come and hang out (Friday Saturday nights we have a good size crowd on BBF server) then and only then will i say HI in U2 version.

A lot of people really got burned by the whole Atardi thing. First Atardi mishandled U2/XMP in favor of UT2003, then UT2003 tanked. But wait, there was a $10 credit for people who upgraded to UT2004. Um, yeah...

It's Atari, formerly Infogrames. They have been with Epic from the start, U1-UT2004, and only then switched to Midway. And they only release stuff, most of the things are by Epic/DE/Legend. I've heard a lot of people saying that Legend ruined RTNP & U2, but that's just not true either.
And the "mishandling" was made by Epic themselves. They decided to cut multiplayer from U2.

Right NOW i'd buy ut2k4 AGAIN for the low low price it's at just to get at UTXMP if I didn't already have it. I'll pay $$80.00 to the Developer that makes a RETAIL version of XMP. It's simply the BEST GAME TYPE... PERIOD.

Bleeder, come play! UTXMP, just for grins. It's not gonna eat your hard drive bro lol besides, you'll have fun. It's just a diff flavor of XMP. They both have their bugs but hey, it's all good cuz it's just XMP.

Do what I did - Get UT2k4 as a present. Of course, you should be able to find it in a bargain bin somewhere now for pretty cheap. Or newegg (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16832129122) for $10.

Old-school XMP would be fun to try out again.

I enjoyed playing U2XMP with some people recently. I have also seen more people playing UTXMP these days. Its very refreshing to see XMP action.

Wargod your best bet is to hit the FFc UTXMP server on Mondays, 8pm your time. Largest group during that time zone. Also, check out their forums and say hi http://www.funfightclub.de/

YEAHHH.. i just installed the game again myself... im active in UT3 but i really REALLY miss the xmp/utxmp sooooo much.
